Logger Trouble Shoot

If the BB Logger is unable to read your phone info, make sure to do the following:

1- BB Desktop Manager is NOT running. Desktop Manager icon must be shut down next to the time on the bottom right corner of the screen

2- On your BB phone go to Options => Media Card/Memory Card and make sure the following is set:

a. Media Card Support: off

b. Mass Storage Mode Support: off

c. Auto Enable Mass Storage: no

d. Save the settings and exit

3- Disable any password on the phone. To do so go to Options => Security Options => General Settings => password off

4- If your keypad AUTO-LOCKS, please make sure to disable this option, go to Options => Auto Lock => Disable

Here is the newest iteration in my v7 series. Over a solid .862 base java I used a lot of files from the .886 leak to improve wifi and browser speed along with some 6.0 from the latest 9800 leak 6.0.0.161 to provide some fast resources. Battery life seems to be improved over the standard base. I think you will be satisfied with this hybrid!

It is important to keep in mind that the first couple reboots will take a lot longer than normal. Also, battery life will not be good until the device settles which usually takes 24-48 hours. If you have it loaded and are experiencing sub-par performance, consider wiping a reloading. Another helpful utility is to every once in a while give your phone a security wipe.

BlackBerry Code Error Solution

BlackBerry Code Error - Each service provider has multiple types of BlackBerry phones. We only send the code for the most common types of BlackBerry phones for each service provider automatically to avoid hard locking phones. If you got a BlackBerry code error it is most likely because your phone is a type that is more rare than others. The solution to this problem is to read your BlackBerry phone with our BlackBerry MEP reader that will tell us the correct MEP version / MEP type. There are a few other things that can cause your BlackBerry phone to give you a code error. The most common problem is BlackBerry phones that are already unlocked. If your phone is already unlocked it will either not give you the prompt to enter your code, or it will say that you have 10 tries remaining and it won't count down with each try. If you get a code error on your BlackBerry phone and the amount of tries remains at 10 then your phone is already unlocked. If your phone is already unlocked you most likely need to just adjust the network settings in your BlackBerry phone to tell it to connect to the proper network. You can change network settings by going to "Manage Connections" in your BlackBerry phone. If you have just entered your BlackBerry unlock code but you have not rebooted your phone it may also appear to still be locked and give you a code error when you attempt the same code again. If a BlackBerry phone is already unlocked it will always give you a code error. Be sure to remove the battery and reinsert it after entering your BlackBerry MEP code.
 
BlackBerry MEP Reader - Use the BlackBerry MEP reader to read the IMEI number and MEP version directly from your BlackBerry phone. When the IMEI and MEP type is read directly from the phone there is no possible way to get incorrect information or an incorrect code. Once you have read your phone with the MEP reader please contact us with the results by clicking on the icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

BlackBerry MEP Reader Instructions:

1. Make sure that your BlackBerry drivers are installed on your computer. You can check by going to your device manager. In your device manager you will see 2 ports that say Rim Virtual Serial Port or a similar name. If you do not see these ports then your drivers are not installed and need to be installed.



If your drivers are not installed please click here to download and install them.

2. Make sure your firewall and virus protection software is disabled until you read your phone with the MEP reader. Since the MEP reader is an exe file some anti-virus software detects it as a possible threat. It is what is called a "false positive". This means that your anti-virus software has never seen this file before so it assumes it is the closest similar type of file it has discovered in the past that contained a virus. We can assure you that the BlackBerry reader does not contain a virus, but if your anti-virus software assumes it does, it will get blocked or deleted and it will not work to read your phone.

Troubleshooting: If you cannot get the BlackBerry MEP reader to begin reading your phone make sure that your anti-virus software and firewall is off. Make sure that there are no other programs currently accessing the BlackBerry device such as BlackBerry Desktop Manager. If BlackBerry Desktop Manager or any other BlackBerry programs are running make sure they are off and try again. If it still doesn't work try removing the battery and putting the battery back in - then turn the phone back on and plug in again. Make sure your USB cable is good. Try a different USB cable if you have one. Make sure the port where the cable plugs into does not have dust, grease, or dirt built up in it. Carefully clean it out if it does.

How To Read The MEP On BlackBerry Without Cable

The first step is to access to the “Help Me” menu, to do so, on the main screen of the phone hold the following keys : ALT CAPS H (at the same time)

For Pearl and other Sure-type phones press and hold the ALT key (Bottom left) and type E A C E

For Storm, hold the BACK arrow, and tap the screen in the following areas: TOP LEFT, TOP RIGHT, TOP LEFT, TOP RIGHT.

It should be presented with a screen like the one shown below:

 

Leave your phone on that screen. Do not change anything on the phone until you get the KEY from us!

Open a notepad or text editor and type the following info from the Help Me screen exactly as shown on your phone so you can copy and paste to send it to us:

App Version:
Uptime:

Send this info to us by clicking on the icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen. We will reply usually within 15 minutes during business hours with your KEY.

Now simply type the KEY directly on to that screen (is not case sensitive).

Nothing will appear when typing.
For numbers hold the ALT key when typing.
Now you should be in the engineers menu - if you are not please try again ensuring the data you entered is EXACTLY as displayed.
If you close the screen make sure you change the Uptime on the form.
Navigate to ‘OS Engineering Screens‘ as shown below:



Now scroll down to ‘Device Info’  and then scroll down until you see MEP-XXXXX-XXX’ as shown below:



Now send us the MEP number and verify that your IMEI number in the Help Me screen matches the IMEI number you initially gave us.

Klik Start > All Programs > Research In Motion > BlackBerry Email and MDS Services Simulators 4.1.2 > MDS.exe . Maka akan muncul Command Prompt, jika sudah selesai Minimize saja jangan di Close.
2. Jalankan BlackBerry Device Simulators. Klik Start > All Programs > Research In Motion > BlackBerry Smartphone Simulators 6.0.0 > 6.0.0.141 > 9800.exe . Maka akan muncul Command Prompt, tunggu sebentar. Klik OK jika muncul dialog.

proses:
sebelum proses, matikan koneksi internet agan dan restart kompi/lepi agar minim kesalahan
1. Buka odin nya
2. Reboot lil'g ke download mode (tombol volume down+tombol tengah+tombol power, bersamaan sampai muncul tampilan downloading)
3. Hubungkan lil'g ke lepi pake kabel data(tetap dalam keadaan download mode)sampai di odin mendetect device kita dan muncul com port mapping yg warna kuning
4. Extract file firmware nya ke drive agan,
5. Kembali ke odin, pilih file untuk flashing yg kita download tadi dg aturan

Apa itu Root Android ?

Root Android adalah memodifikasi Android sehingga memberikan pengguna akses penuh ke handphone Android. Mirip seperti Run as administrator di Windows ataupun mengetikkan perintah sudo di terminal Linux.

Handphone Android yang sudah di root akan mampu mengeluarkan semua potensi dan fitur yang terkunci seperti menginstall applikasi yang bukan berasal dari Android market, fitur wireless tethering, mengubah tampilan, uninstall applikasi default (crapware), flash custom ROM, dan lain-lain.

Pada dasarnya semua Handphone Android (atau tablet) dapat di root dengan mudah, meskipun ada beberapa tipe tertentu yang memerlukan cara rooting berbeda.

Pemilik Android disarankan tidak melakukan root bila memang tidak memerlukan fitur yang Info Teknologi sebutkan diatas, ini karena ‘root android’ memiliki resiko celah keamanan, kemungkinan handphone tidak berfungsi setelah root, dan hilangnya garansi.

Tutorial Root Android

Cara root / unroot Android paling mudah adalah dengan menggunakan SuperOneClick, applikasi freeware ini bisa berjalan di Windows maupun Linux (Ubuntu dan Debian). SuperOneClick dapat didownload dari XDA Developers atau shortfuse.org.

Persiapan root android dengan SuperOneClick :

PC sudah terinstall Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 atau versi lebih tinggi
Sudah menginstall USB Driver untuk Handphone Android yang akan diroot
Android berada di kondisi USB Debugging mode. (Settings > Applications > Development , pilih USB Debugging)

Ekstrak file hasil download di satu folder kemudian jalankan program SuperOneClick.exe. Sambungkan handphone Android ke komputer (jangan mount memory card). Klik tombol Root pada applikasi, dan bila proses rooting selesai maka muncul pesan Root files have been installed!




Tekan tombol Yes bila diminta untuk melakukan test, hasil test akan mengkonfirmasi apakah Android telah sukses diroot.

Handphone Android yang tidak mendukung root dengan SuperOneClick adalah HTC Supersonic, HTC Incredible, HTC Desire, HTC Aria, Droid Eris, dan HTC Wildfire. Rooting di handphone tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan unrevoked. (tidak dibahas)

Setelah proses root Android selesai maka handphone Android akan dapat diinstall applikasi non-Android Market, menambah fitur wireless tether, wired tether, Overclocking prosessor (SetCPU), install custom flash ROM, dll.
